About the author: Born in 1951, Adele Leurini thrived in Northern California. A grandmother and a mother of two, she embraced writing from childhood. Despite initial discouragement, her nursing career flourished with a Ph.D. in Education with a concentration in Nursing Education from Capella University.
Her rich background spans military service, civilian healthcare, and a pivotal role at a flagship Veterans Affairs hospital. A consultant, mentor, and founder of Retirement Legs Writing Company, her debut fiction, “Andrew and Olivia,” unveils her storytelling prowess. As she continues to fuse her experiences into narratives, launching the Ordinary Man Series with more tales to come. |

The Bookworm used book store offers a wide selection of adult and teen fiction, children’s books, cookbooks, reference books, self-help books, biographies and travel books, with prices starting at $.50! Special sales occur regularly and may feature a theme, reduced pricing, and other fun surprises- so drop by to find some amazing deals. The proceeds raised from book sales support the Colusa County Free Library.
The BookWorm is staffed entirely by volunteers and is stocked with donations from the community. Donations are tax-deductible and may be dropped off at the BookWorm during our hours of operation.

The Friends of the Colusa County Free Library have raised more than $300,000 since they organized in 1979. Those funds have strengthened library resources, sponsored cultural and educational programs, and purchased much-needed equipment. Currently, the Friends’ support includes authors evenings, microfilming of local newspapers, monthly collections additions, EBSCO research database, and support for Summer Reading Programs, Hoopla Audiobooks, and special events such as Día de los niños.
